About the Author

Kathy McWhirter grew up in various parts of Canada and settled in Alberta near the majestic Rocky Mountains adjacent Jasper National Park. While working, exploring, and hiking in the area she discovered the ghost town of Mountain Park, and subsequent inspiration for her novel Beyond Mountain Park originated. She has published magazine articles, poetry, and a memoir. Ms. McWhirter lives in Victoria, British Columbia, with her daughters and partner close by, surrounded by the beauty of nature.
